Volcanic soil coffee is all you need to hear to know why we just HAD to stock this coffee when we saw it was in season. Every year you'll see droves of volcanic soil-grown coffee filling up the top rankings at coffee tasting competitions. And now with just one sip of this Burundi, you can find out why.
This particular Burundi champions sweet notes of brown sugar, tangerine, and apple. When initially tasting this coffee, we appreciated the roast profile at every stage: light, medium, and dark. We decided to go with making this a light roast at the end to preserve the integrity of the bean. Similar to a nicely marbled cut of Wagyu beef that becomes juicy and delectable with only a few seconds on the grill, the bean only needs a short trip through our roaster to bring out its natural flavor, and maintain its quality.
